For the new year, Scrapperie is going back to basics! Since I will no longer be offering monthly kits, I've decided to go back to doing what I really love: sharing my passion for scrapbooking with others who feel just like me!

Starting in January, I am going to once again start up our Wednesday Bingo games, monthly crops and weekly challenges. But before I decide which challenges we'll be doing, I wanted your help in the decision making. Will you please take a few minutes and go vote for your top five favorite types of challenges in this thread in the forums: http://scrapperie.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13525 ?

With the new year, I am also looking for a new breed of Très Chic Girls: Since I wont't have monthly kits to offer in compensation, I'm asking you to come share your passion for scrapbooking with everyone on the forums- simply because you love being part of the Scrapperie community. I am looking for one person to head up each of the five weekly scrapping challenges. I will also need one person who would like to be in charge of running the monthly crops and one person who would like to head up and run weekly Wednesday Bingo games. Scrapperie Boutique Liquidation Sale

Good morning, everyone!

I just wanted to send out a short email letting everyone know that as of this morning, I've changed the Boutique over to liquidation mode. October's kit, Spice of Life, will be my last monthly kit. The kit will not ship until December 1st, due to problem upon problem with manufacturers. It greatly saddens me to resort to this, but I cannot, in all good conscience continue to put together kits when I can't count on manufacturers to deliver what I'm promising my customers.

EVERYTHING in the Boutique, besides the Spice of Life kit, has been marked to sell. I have tons and tons of new goodies that have been loaded into the store and I've marked prices at a great savings. It goes without saying that if you see something you want, get it before it's gone. Once everything is gone, I'll turn the store off.

I will not turn off the Scrapperie forums, and shortly, I'll be announcing a new challenge team call. I'd like to make Scrapperie your new home away from home- full of great people and inspiration and not structured around sales and kits. There will be more crops, more contests and Bingo will finally return! I can't wait to unveil the new and improved Scrapperie in 2010- I hope you'll be with me.

Scrapperie's new October kit and month-long Breast Cancer Awareness special SALE!

Oh how I love October and its crisp, cool weather and the need for jackets and sweaters and great SHOES! This month's new kit, Spice of Life, is a mix of all of Autumn's wonderful colors and some of my favorite things about Autumn. (Okay, I hate to say it, but I couldn't get everyone shoes. You know if I could, I SO would!)

Spice of Life is chock full of papers from Bo Bunny Press' new lines Gypsy and Kitchen Spice and loads of embellished papers from SEI's brand new Moravia line. There are also more interesting embellishments and fabulous finds from around the web and my favorite antique stores. You'll also notice that there are a lot of add-ons this month, too because...

Not only is October a month for enjoying the cooling weather, but it is a month for reflection... at least in my family it is. I started two years ago by commemorating October's Breast Cancer Awareness campaign by donating 25% of all sales to the Susan G Komen For the Cure foundation. This year I plan on donating 30% of ALL SALES (through the whole month of October) to the American Cancer Society, through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Breast cancer is a disease that strikes very near and dear to my heart and this is what I can do to help give a little bit back. (I love you, Mom!)

Fall Back into Scrapping Crop this weekend at Scrapperie!

Come join us this weekend, September 18-20, for a fun little weekend crop! We'll have challenges, games and mini contests galore- so many things you'll be scrapping in no time and never wanting to stop! Introducing the September kit from Scrapperie: Country Club

Country Club is the new manly-man colored kit September kit from Scrapperie. It features brand new papers from Dream Street Papers, fondly named Sam. Mixed in are new papers from My Mind's Eye's Breaking Free line, some Scribble Scrabble Spencer and Autumn Aftrernoon, some Jillibean Soup and some Basic Grey Archaic. (Make no bones about it, there are no dinosaur themed papers here, folks - just the gorgeous hues of the solid and geometric print papers). All of the colors of this kit are based on one of my most favorite possessions- an old tweed sportcoat of my Dad's that I've hung onto since the 80s! New computer!

Woo hoo! I'm finally back up and running- not having a computer is like a nightmare! Now, I have a bigger one than I can ever fill up and it is faster than what I am used to... the only thing I have to get used to is this new keyboard. It's kinda funky. And I'll be reloading all my software back onto it for an eternity... ugh.

Spring Into Summer Crop at Scrapperie!

Cherries Jubilee - new March kit from Scrapperie!

I love March! It's such a gorgeous time of year... the snow starts to melt and brave flowers start to make their way out of the Earth, fresh from a nice, long slumber. The end of March also signifies the beginning of beautiful, intensely colored cherry blossoms- which are the basis for this month's kit. I've also opted to use a color that I haven't used yet- purple! Cherries Jubilee is full of papers from My Mind's Eye brand new line, Penny Lane, richly colored papers from Crate Paper's Mia Collection, and a sprinkling of fun & funky papers from Making Memories' Noteworthy Collection. An abundance of floral and swirl embellishments round out the whole kit. add-ons this month include Copic markers, additional cardstock and some fun glittered die cuts.

January kit from Scrapperie...

It's that time again! A new Scrapperie kit is being revealed... Each and every January, it seems like we are all making some sort of resolution to ourselves. From losing weight to spending more time with family, these resolutions come in every shape, size and request. All except for one: to take time. Take time to enjoy the simple things in life or to simply just take the time for yourself.

Take Time is the new January kit from Scrapperie. It features a great mix of papers from Fancy Pants (The Daily Grind), Kaisercraft (Esperence) and We R Memory Keepers (Nonsense). The embellishments this month are plentiful, too- from great embellishment finds to some fun journaling prompts from Knock, Knock- this kit is sure to please!

Scrapperie is also doing something new in 2009: No more subscriptions! Honestly, it got to be too much of a fight with PayPal and I really don't like to harp on customers to purchase monthly kits. So, I'm trying something new... No more hassles, no more confusion in the Boutique- just pick the kit you want, add it to your cart and you're all set. All kits will now be on a first come, first serve basis. (As always though, if you are wanting to purchase the kit but can't right this second, just reply to this email and tell me which kit you'd like to purchase and I will set one aside, on hold for you.)

I've also decided to try Add-ons for each kit: extra goodies that you can purcahse to go along with your kits, shipped with them, at no additional cost. Cardstock will always be an additional option, but each kit will have different goodies. This month, there are two cardstock options and some great chipboard stickers from Fancy Pants. (The stickers are so cute too because they come in a reusable little chipboad box with a drawer!)

Oh! That reminds me: Shipping costs will remain at flat $6.95 shipping for all US customers. International customers- either choose your shipping costs via the drop down menus or I can send you a PayPal invoice with the balance of your actual shipping costs.

Would you like to design for Scrapperie?

Hi there! As most of you know, I'm the owner of Scrapperie, an online kit club and message board. Starting now, I am looking for a new way of doing my design team, currently known as the Très Chic Girls.

In the past, I've had the normal design team "rules" - terms run from 4-6 months and compensation is a monthly kit. But I think that is not working for most people anymore- especially in today's hectic society and crazy economy.

For this next while, I think I would like to go back to having something along the lines of "Guest Designers" who would work with the monthly kits, etc. I may ask you to work one or two months with my kits, or longer.

Anyone who has ever worked with me knows I'm pretty laid back and I don't require a zillion projects or demand you to post on the boards every day. I know life is first and foremost and our hobbies and other things come later...

So, if you would be interested in applying and working with one (or more) of my monthly kits, please drop me an email at sandiminchuk@yahoo.com Please provide a link to an online gallery and tell me a little bit about yourself. I loved it so very much, I think I read all four books in a little over a week. Heck, I loved it SO much I brought back the book club at Scrapperie and Twilight is the November book we're all reading.
