Even though Sadie's birthday was back in September, I wanted to use one of the shots I took of her at the party. I created this one for
Scrapbook Sizzle design team using the October kit which features the super yummy Crate Paper Cowgirl Collection.
The handwritten journaling reads "Sadie had such a blast on her seventh birthday- she had family & friends come to celebrate with her. Here she is being silly while opening her gifts. September 2006"

Yep, another one!
My best friend, Kim, asked for a
pink and
brown version of my paper and well, I like to oblige my friends... so here you go!! Hope you like it!

As promised, here's my second attempt at using another color combination of my very own paper! Made like the first, I used paint and inks to achieve the look I wanted and then outlined everything in black pen.
{You can see the paper better if you click on it.}

Well, I finally made a page JUST FOR ME! I know- hard to believe with all the design team work I've been doing lately... but I made my own paper!! That swirly pink/orange paper is ALL ME! And the 'm' is actually glittered and painted and sealed, but it is kind of hard to tell in the scan. The other thing that doesn't show up so good- the pink swirlies actually have a glitter glaze over them, as do the turquoise dots. So, it looks kindy smudgy- but it is actually glitter. (I wish this showed up better- it is really cool in real life.)
I had so much fun making this paper, I am going to try another color soon! :) Will you share with me what you think?

I just got a request from them asking for one of the pages that I agonized months over making- LOL! Sometimes it really does pay to be so anal about my pages, huh?
Soon, a page about my grandmother's birthday party last summer will be in print and I will have achieved another one of my goals: to get every member of my family in print at least once. (I must admit, the girls have quite the advantage on this one! :))

I submitted a layout last week for the Layout Blueprints 2 book and I got an email today asking if it was still available! YAY! It will be my first time with them so I am very excited about that~

On October 15th, I will walk alongside my Mom (a 3 year breast cancer survivor) and my sister. But I need your help to do it. I'm participating in an American Cancer Society event called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and I'm hoping that you will support me with a donation.
This event is a non-competitive five-mile walk and a fun way to raise awareness about this disease in my community. Breast cancer is over 95% survivable if caught early, meaning that the awareness this event generates will literally save lives.The funds we raise help the American Cancer Society programs directly related to breast on all fronts - research, education, advocacy, and patient services. I believe in this organization and am proud to help these efforts by walking in Making Strides.
Any amount you can give will help. Please use the link below to visit my personal page on the web. When the page opens click on the button that says "Donate" to give online. It is quick and easy to make a donation so please don't wait...take a couple moments now to give it a try.. please?
Will you please help me to honor my Mom?
